2024 Horatio Alger Career & Technical Scholarship

DESCRIPTION
500 Scholarships up to $2,500 each
Scholarships are awarded to students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their lives who wish to pursue a career or technical education at an accredited community college or technical school in the United States.
The application for the National Career & Technical program is open annually from March 15 to June 15.
Note: For Deadlines that fall on a weekend, applicants will have until the following Monday, June 17th at 12:00 (Noon) ET to submit.
REQUIREMENTS
General Eligibility Criteria:
Have completed high school (or earned a high school equivalency credential) by July 1
Be enrolled in an associate’s degree, certificate, or diploma program by September that will lead to employment (no transfer programs are eligible)
Attend a not-for-profit post-secondary institution in the United States
Demonstrate critical financial need by showing one of the following:
Family Income below $65,000 OR
Pell Eligibility
Be under the age of 35
Be a United States citizen

Funds may be used for tuition, fees, books and supplies, or any additional costs such as transportation, daycare, etc. that help support program progress. All scholarship funds are paid directly to the institution on behalf of the recipient.
